Privacy Policy
Last updated October 3, 2026
The short version
- We collect what you send us, plus basic usage data from Google Analytics that doesn’t tell us who you are.
- We use it to answer you, do the work and make this site better.
- We never sell your personal information or use it for advertising.
- Ask us any time to see, fix or delete what we hold: hello@thatbizlife.com.
Who we are
ThatBizLife is a division of OTC MVP LLC (“ThatBizLife”, “we”, “us”). We design and build websites and help small businesses adopt AI and plan their technology. OTC MVP LLC is responsible for the personal information described in this policy. We are based in Phoenix, Arizona, in the United States, and we work remotely with businesses around the world. This policy covers thatbizlife.com and the emails and conversations that start here. If we do project work for you, our written agreement with you also applies.
What we collect
Information you give us
When you email us or work with us, we receive what you choose to share: your name, email address, business name, phone number, and whatever you tell us about your business and what you need.
Information collected automatically
We use Google Analytics to understand how people use this site. It uses cookies and similar technology to collect information such as the pages you view, how long you stay, the site that referred you, your browser and device type, and your approximate location (city or country, worked out from your IP address). Google Analytics does not give us your name or email address, and we do not try to identify individual visitors.
Our hosting provider also keeps standard server logs, including IP addresses and request times, to deliver the site and keep it secure.
Information from client projects
During a project you may give us access to your website, accounts, documents or customer data. We use that only to do the work you asked for, keep it confidential, and return or delete it when the work ends, as set out in our agreement with you.
How we use it
- To reply to you and provide the services you ask for.
- To understand which pages are useful and improve the site.
- To keep the site and our systems secure and to prevent abuse.
- To keep business records and meet our legal obligations.
If you are in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom or Switzerland, we rely on these legal bases: your consent (for analytics cookies), steps you ask us to take before or under a contract, our legitimate interest in running and improving our business, and our legal obligations.
Cookies and Google Analytics
Google Analytics sets cookies (such as _ga) to tell visits apart. We have turned off advertising features, so the data is not used for ads. For visitors in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Switzerland, analytics cookies are off by default.
You can limit or stop analytics at any time:
- Block or delete cookies in your browser settings.
- Install Google’s Analytics opt-out browser add-on.
- Turn on Global Privacy Control in your browser. We treat it as a request to switch analytics cookies off.
Google processes this data under its own terms. You can read how Google uses information from sites that use its services and Google’s Privacy Policy.
Who we share it with
We do not sell or rent personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising. We share it only:
- With service providers who help us run the business, such as our website host, email provider and Google Analytics, and only for that purpose.
- With other providers you ask us to work with on your project.
- When the law requires it, or to protect our rights, our clients or the public.
- If the business is ever sold or merged, with the new owner, who must honor this policy.
International transfers
We are based in the United States and so are many of our providers. If you contact us from another country, your information will be processed in the United States and wherever our providers operate. Where the law requires it, we rely on safeguards such as standard contractual clauses.
How long we keep it
We keep emails and project records for as long as we are talking or working together, and afterward only as long as we need them for records, tax and legal reasons. Google Analytics data is kept for no longer than 14 months.
Your rights
Wherever you live, you can ask us to:
- tell you what personal information we hold about you and give you a copy;
- correct it if it is wrong;
- delete it;
- stop or limit how we use it, or withdraw consent you gave.
Email hello@thatbizlife.com. We may need to confirm it is really you, and we will answer within the time the law gives us, usually within 30 days. We will never treat you differently for asking. If you are in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom or Switzerland, you can also complain to your local data protection authority. Some US states, including California, give residents similar rights, and we honor them the same way.
Security
We use reasonable safeguards to protect the information we hold, and we limit access to the people who need it. No system is perfectly secure, so we can’t promise that information will never be accessed without permission, but if a breach affects you we will tell you as the law requires.
Children
This site is for businesses. It is not directed to children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect their information. If you think a child has sent us personal information, tell us and we will delete it.
Other websites
Other sites we link to are covered by their own privacy policies. OTC MVP, the company ThatBizLife is part of, has its own policy at otcmvp.com.
Changes
If we change this policy, we will post the new version here and update the date at the top. If a change is significant, we will make that clear on the site.
